Lisa from Drugstore Divas here. Abby has awesomely allowed me to chat on CA Coupon Diva, so super thanks from this Diva to that one.
If you haven't been to Drugstore Divas, it's a deals and savings blog, similar to CA Coupon Diva. We also have a weekly recipe column, <a href="">Tasty Thursday, which my boyfriend Pete writes each week. We basically take the weekly grocery store fliers, figure out what's on sale, and he creates a meal around it.
Yup, a man who can cook. Sorry ladies, he's taken. But, honestly, he can cook like no one I've ever met, so I encouraged him to enter the Healthy Food Fight recipe contest. He entered a Slow-Cooked Smoky Southwestern Chicken Stew, which is my favorite meal he's ever made.
If he makes it into the top 48 of his region, he'll head to Round 2, a cookoff in Philly. If he makes it into the top three of his region, he will get his accomadations paid for [[that's the goal]].
You can vote once a day per email address between now and October 24 [[so you can vote, your boyfriend, your mom, anyone with email]]. We've got four days left to get him into first! You do have to register to vote, but everyone who does will be entered to win a set of Circulon gourmet cookware. Each day you vote will get you an entry into that giveaway. Hopefully one of Pete's supporters will win the set!
