I went shopping-JCP.com
My sale shopping skills are strong. Mr. Coupondiva needs new pants for work. 4 pairs of dress pants isn't enough. And a few of the pairs are ink stained or just otherwise not up to par.
I checked a few local discount stores but none of them had dress pants, so I turned to JCP.com. Turns out they are having a kick-ass sale on men's dress pants.
I selected 5 pairs. 2 on sale for $15.97 each and 3 pairs on sale for $19.99 each.
I checked Retail Me Not for a JCP.com coupon code. I found a code for $10.00 off a $90.00 purchase (RMNAFF90).
I used a $10.00 JCP reward I earned using my JCP card buying pillows last month (all on sale!!)
I used a $10.00 JCP Gift Card I earned through mypoints.com.
And I used my JCP card to pay the balance. This helps me earn points so that I can earn more $10.00 JCP reward certificates.
I started at Mypoints.com, and went through their website to get to JCP.com, so I'll earn 2 points per dollar spend, and I can submit my receipt to Endorse.com to earn 10% of my purchase. So I will learn 172 points through Mypoints and $8.69 in cash back!

Remember... Using coupons isn't limited to shopping for groceries or HBA. You can use coupon codes for online purchases and use online rebate programs like mypoints and Endorse to save even more.

A lesson in advanced savings...
Using multiple points and awards programs together (when permitted) to earn extra rewards.
Example: Mypoints and Office Depot Work Life rewards.
When you shop at Office Depot through MyPoints.com:
Earn up to 4,000 Points with your Office Depot purchase! (Daily)
Get free shipping on delivery orders when you spend $50 or more.*
Spend $50-$99.99 and earn 500 Points
Spend $100-$199.99 and earn 1,000 Points
Spend $200-$399.99 and earn 2,000 Points
Spend $400 or more and earn 4,000 Points
Points will not be awarded for orders picked up at Office Depot stores. Orders must be purchased online and delivered to your home or office.
Points will not be awarded for purchases from the OD Business Solutions Division
Coupons and gift cards cannot be redeemed for Points.
* Not all items are eligible for free shipping. See site for details.
And when I shop at Office Depot.com, I can enter my Worklife Rewards (WLR) card number.
Get 10% back in Rewards on ink, toner, paper and Copy & Print Depot purchases, plus 1% back on almost everything else.
Saving with your Worklife Rewards® card is simple. Just present your member number every time you shop with us online, in-store or by phone and we'll take care of the rest!
At the end of every quarter, we'll mail you a Reward Card if you've reached $10 in Rewards. And if you haven't reached $10, don't worry because your Rewards carry over from quarter to quarter for an entire calendar year.
You can also recycle your empty Inkjet cartridges for a $3 credit per cartridge (limit 5 per day). The $3 credit is added to your Work life rewards.
So for our example, I am going to order $68.00 worth of toner cartridges. I will receive 500 mypoints.com points. I also receive $6.80 in my WLR "account" which, if I have over $10.00 in rewards before the end of the quarter, I'll get back in the form of a gift card, which I can then use to buy more inkjet cartridges for my printer. If I take my empty inkjet cartridges to Office depot and recycle them, I'll be $3.00 each for them as well, and that gets added to my WLR "account".
A quick check of my WLR account today shows I have $12.50 earned between 1st quarter purchases and the 2 inkjet cartridges from our little HP All in One Printer that I have recycled.
WOO HOO! So I am earning points from MyPoints.com and getting a gift certificate from Office depot that I can use on my next purchase, which will get me MORE POINTS on stuff that we use and need.
Mypoints.com and other similar programs are great because you get rewarded for the shopping that you do anyway!

Savings resolution- online shopping
A lot of us shop online: Ebay, B&N, Old Navy.
There is no reason that you shouldn't earn cash back or points to be redeemed for gift cards for your online purchases.
A few companies offer such a service, at no cost to the shopper. You simply visit their website, log in to your account, enter the name of the website you are looking for in the search box, click on the link and shop as you normally would. You earn points for each dollar you spend. Points are then redeemed for gift cards to hundreds of merchants. The gift cards are mailed to you to use in brick and mortar stores on use them online for purchases from their website (and earn more points!).
My favorite website for earning points and free gift cards is Mypoints. You can earn points with purchases, or simply click the links in the emails they send you. You can also earn points by printing and redeeming the grocery coupons from their website- they offer both coupons.com and smartsource coupons.
If you are interested in joining, email me your email address. I will send you an referral invitation. Then you and I will both receive points.
I have been a member since July 2009, and in that time, I have just clicked their email links and done my usual online shopping. I have earned over 10,000 points, which has been redeemed for over $75.00 in gift cards- Starbucks, Target, Chevron Gas!

Lots of good stuff!
I've been busy the past few days, but here are some great savings and cheap stuff:
Free stuff from Chase bank in 3 California markets.
For those San Diegans, here are 2 really really great half price gift certificate websites for local businesses.
$5 off Enfamil formula. You can print it twice!
Pssst from General Mills is a consumer panel. They'll send you free products and coupons, and you can print high value coupons from their website, once you sign up.
I have 5 invitation codes to Mypoints if anyone is interested, drop me a message or email with your email address. It's a great way to earn points to redeem for gift cards. Just by opening emails and visiting their website before you shop on websites such as ebay, oriental trading co., magazines.com. I joined in July and I am just a few hundred points shy of a $25 Gift card to Starbucks!
Speaking of Starbucks, If you are a 'Bux junkie, you might consider a Gold card. At $25/year, it may seem steep, but if you purchase a latte and baked good each work day, that's about $5.20/day. With your 10% discount, you'll save $124.80/year. You also get a free beverage for your birthday and free add ons and upgrades. Register your gold card online for extra benes.
