It's getting closer to the holidays, which means daily deal sites are going to start offering *sweet* deals for new sign ups. Coupon codes, free shipping, $10 credit when you sign up, and today's super sweet deal from NoMoreRack.
When you sign up and have 5 friends sign up for NoMoreRack (you don't have to buy anything), you can order this sweet adjustable ring for *free*.
Remember that other daily deal sites like groupon, savemore, saveology, thedailysave, fab.com, One Kings Lane also offer sign up bonuses for new account holders.
Restaurant.com will be having some great discounts on their gift certificates too. I recommend following them on twitter to keep up with their sales and deals.
Sign up bonuses for daily deals are how I do a majority of my holiday shopping. I collect gifts throughout the year. I am able to buy great, high value gifts for little to no OOP.

Savings resolution- online shopping
A lot of us shop online: Ebay, B&N, Old Navy.
There is no reason that you shouldn't earn cash back or points to be redeemed for gift cards for your online purchases.
A few companies offer such a service, at no cost to the shopper. You simply visit their website, log in to your account, enter the name of the website you are looking for in the search box, click on the link and shop as you normally would. You earn points for each dollar you spend. Points are then redeemed for gift cards to hundreds of merchants. The gift cards are mailed to you to use in brick and mortar stores on use them online for purchases from their website (and earn more points!).
My favorite website for earning points and free gift cards is Mypoints. You can earn points with purchases, or simply click the links in the emails they send you. You can also earn points by printing and redeeming the grocery coupons from their website- they offer both coupons.com and smartsource coupons.
If you are interested in joining, email me your email address. I will send you an referral invitation. Then you and I will both receive points.
I have been a member since July 2009, and in that time, I have just clicked their email links and done my usual online shopping. I have earned over 10,000 points, which has been redeemed for over $75.00 in gift cards- Starbucks, Target, Chevron Gas!
