Like sharing free stuff with others?

Word of Mouth Marketing- It's not new.  Remember the "I told two friends, and they told two friends" commercial from the 1980's? That's word of mouth marketing.  Since the invention of the internet, WOM marketing has been amplified.

There are companies that connect consumers with companies and products looking to market directly to a specific cross-section of the population.  What does that mean for you?  Sign up with one or all of the companies below and when they have products that someone like you would like and use, and they will have you complete a brief survey and send you the product.

Often times, the product they will send you will be full size.  Additionally, they will send marketing materials with talking points for you to share with friends.  Depending on the product, samples and coupons may be included!

WOM companies I work with are:

BzzAgent

Houseparty

Smiley360

I encourage you to check these companies out and if they look interesting, sign up.  You'll be surprised at the cool stuff that you'll get to share with friends and family!

I'll be doing a giveaway next week- so stay tuned.  Coupons, Coupons, Coupons will be the prize!

I'm looking forward to doing some shopping tomorrow, there are a few deals we need!

Ralph's Private Selection Campaign (BzzAgent Review)

Recently I was selected to be a part of the Kroger's Private SelectionBzzAgent Campaign.  Around these parts, the Kroger brand store is Ralph's.

I was supplied with three product coupons: A Frozen Appetizer, A Frozen Pizza, and a Frozen Dessert (not Ice Cream)

The three product coupons arrived just in time for my husbands birthday party! I selected the Southwestern Style Chicken Trumpets, Margherita pizza and Cream Puffs.

Margherita Pizza

Southwestern Trumpets

Cream Puffs and Magic Shell!

  • The Southwestern Style Chicken Trumpets didn't last 5 minutes.  The boys at the party scooped them up and dipped them in sour cream mixed with salsa. They were flaky and loaded with chicken, peppers and cheese!

  • I added pepperonis to the top of the Margherita pizza (Boys love meat on their pizzas).  It was crispy, but the sliced little tomatoes made it a little soggy in the middle, but a few extra minutes in the oven and it was very crispy.  THe boys commented on the yummy balls of cheese on the pizza and how  it was a great appetizer!

  • The Cream Puffs were so good we didn't get a chance to thaw them!  I dipped them in magic shell and it made them even more decadent!

Burt's Bees Sensitive: My latest BzzAgent Campaign

I've had sensitive skin since I was a kid.  Red, blotchy, dry skin.  There have been lots of products that I have missed out on trying because my skin is just that sensitive. A lot of my family and friends also suffer from sensitive skin, so I was super excited when BzzAgent emailed me about their latest campaign.

Burt's Bees has an awesome new line of skin care products for people just like me! Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin.

What is Sensitive Skin?

A formal definition for the condition has yet to be created, but most dermatologists characterize sensitive skin as skin that experiences:

  • Redness

  • Irritation

  • Stinging

  • Dryness

  • Itching

  • Blotchiness

  • Breakouts easily

  • Rashes

What Causes Sensitive Skin?

Environmental Factors:

  • Weather – extreme heat or cold

  • Sun and UV exposure

  • Wind

  • Pollution

Genetics:

  • Sensitive skin can be hereditary for some

You can’t control your genes, but you can care for your sensitive skin naturally. Our new Sensitive Skin Products are 99% natural and are proven to moisturize and cleanse without causing redness or irritation.

Skin Irritants:

  • Products can contain irritating ingredients like:

    • Soap

    • Exfoliants

    • Alcohol

    • Salicylic acid

    • Fragrance

  • Sunburn

  • Dermabrasion

  • Frequent contact with water can cause inflammation of the skin

  • Allergies to ingredients in cosmetics and skin care products

Stress:

  • Skin can become more sensitive and more reactive when stressed

  • Stress triggers the body to release hormones and chemicals that can cause the skin to become irritated

Almost every case of sensitive skin has one symptom in common: Inflammation. That’s why Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skin Care line is crafted with natural ingredients that help soothe and soften your sensitive skin.

Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin products contain Rice Extracts, Aloe, Eyebright and White Genepi, all products that support and heal sensitive skin. They are 99% Natural, and area great choice for those of us with sensitive skin. They are: Fragrance-free, Hypo-allergenic, Dermatologist-tested, and Allergy-tested.

I am giving away samples and coupons  of Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skin Daily Moisturizing Cream to readers.  The first 5 readers to leave a comment will receive a sample of the cream and a coupon for $1.00 off as well as a 20 coupon pot luck. I will contact you for your mailing address.

I am a member of Bzzagent, a great WOM (word of mouth) website that helps spread the word on tons of great products.  I received these products for free. The opinions of these products are all mine. I recommend that you check Bzzagent out!

The joys of overage at Wal*Mart

I'm not a regular Wal*mart shopper, however, there was a great coupon this week available online that lead to some amazing overage*!

Coupons.com had a coupon for $6.00/2 Schick Disposable razors.  Walmart had packages of disposable razors for just $1.97 each, which leaves $2.06 in overage*!

Forgive me for the lack of photos, we're still unpacking and the cameras are MIA.

I used only 1 $6.00/2 per transaction.  I left the second coupon at home accidentally, so I *had* to go back.

Trip 1:

Razors   $1.97

Razors   $1.97

Snickers Bar  .74

Nature's Own Bread $2.98

English Muffins  $2.50 (Per Hubby's request!)

-$6.00/2 Razor Q (from Coupons.com)

- .74 Free Candy Q (From M&M/Mars Random Acts of Chocolate Facebook Campaign)

- 2.98 Free Loaf of Nature's Own Bread (BzzAgent Coupon)

Total .44

Tax .31 (Tax is on the pre-coupon amount in CA)

TOTAL OOP .75

Trip 2:

Razors   $1.97

Razors   $1.97

Garnier Hair color $6.47

Hazelnut Creamer $3.68 (we were out of creamer and we really needed it- so the overage was very helpful!!)

-$6.00/2 Razor Q (from Coupons.com)

- $7.99 (Free hair color coupon from Garnier Facebook campaign)

Total .1o

Tax .81 (Tax is on the pre-coupon amount in CA)

TOTAL OOP .91

*For those new to couponing, overage is when the amount of the coupon exceeds the price of the item and there is a negative balance.  Wal-Mart doesn't give cash back for overage, but you can use that negative balance to buy other items with little or no Out of Pocket.

Nature's Own Bread Review

(Disclosure- I am a BzzAgent and I received a coupon for a free loaf of Nature's Own bread, however all the opinions are mine).

Let me just say how excited I was when BzzAgent asked me to be a part of their Nature's Own Campaign.  Since the baby came six months ago, I am trying to get us to eat better. I want our son to be exposed to a healthy diet, and I still have some baby weight to lose!

Nature's Own Bread is free of artificial preservatives, colors, flavors and high fructose corn syrup.  My favorite part about all of the Nature's Own Breads is that they are high in fiber! There are tons of varieties, including breakfast breads and Sandwich thins (which make great breakfast sandwiches!)

Check out the Nature's Own Facebook page.  Enter to win a reusable grocery bag and a coupon for a free loaf of bread. Or, if you don't have Facebook, check out the Nature's Own website for more info!

What's your Shopping DNA? Find out with Itemize!

Last night BzzAgent sent me to the You-Phoria party (as part of the BlogHer '11 conference) where I learned all about Itemize, a great new online shopping service- a digital shopping assistant!

How it works:

When you join Itemize, it auto-imports your receipts right from your email to your Itemize account. Itemize analyzes your purchases, and shows your Shopping DNA. Your Shopping DNA shows you how and what you spend your money on in 13 categories.

After your Shopping DNA is mapped and you select 3 or more categories of items that interest you, Itemize finds sales and deals from thousands of sites that match your unique tastes!

Check it out!  I learned that I buy a lot of babies stuff (what a surprise, I have a 4 1/2 month old!), and Itemize showed me some really great promos and sales going on! I can't wait to take advantage of some of the sales and promo codes that Itemize offers!

Now, more about the party! The cocktails were great (the Kiwi fruit, vodka and lemon juice was to die for!), the swag bags were awesome!  Here are just a few of the sponsors and what they provided!

20th Century Fox- a Glee DVD!

AG jeans- A great Denim business card holder- perfect for my blogging business cards.

Case Mate- an iPhone 4 case

Christo Hair & Curlisto Kids (by Christo)- leave in conditioner and detanglerSarah Potempa Hair-a Really nice Paddle Brush.

Finally- A Giveaway!
