Brand Loyalty

Most frugal living and couponing books and blogs tell you in order to save money you can't be brand loyal.

In some cases, you may need to brand loyal. For Example, I have a friend with waist length curly hair that is very thick.  She can't use just any shampoo and conditioner or her hair will be a tangly, oily mess. EWW.

So she heads to Ulta twice a year when they have a stock up gallon sale and buys enough shampoo and conditioner to last until the next sale. Ulta has two great Rewards programs to choose from.  So not only will she save money buy buying her preferred shampoo and conditioner when it's on sale, but she earns rewards with each purchase.

If there is a product or products that you just can't live without for whatever reason, do some research and see if you can get it on sale a few times a year and stock up.  If you can get rewards too, that's even better!!

If the store you shop at doesn't offer a rewards card, and you can't find coupons online or in inserts or packaging, contact the manufacturer and ask them to send you coupons.
