I decided to break it up into 2 entries!
Shop at the .99 store: I'm serious. Some times even with coupons, there are places you can find items cheaper. HBA items like zip lock bags, Tissues, Q-tips can be found at the .99 store! 99 cents only has a great selection of fruit and veg too!
Less Clutter: Forgo expensive cleansers, 99% of your cleaning can be done with white vinegar and salt.
FREE: Check your local Craigslist or local newspapers for free community activities. In San Diego, the Night and Day section of the UT has lots of info on free events.
It's all in the box! When stores that you shop at have their big annual clearance sale (so for me it Bath and Body Works and Yves Rocher), stock up on gifts. I keep a list of birthdays and people I buy holiday gifts for, and when I see a good sale, I stock up on gifts all year long! I buy a few extras- you'll never know when you'll need a hostess gift, or when a new holiday (assistant's day, bosses day) pops up! I have a tote in my spare room closet that is stocked with gifts.
We also stock up on wine when Beverages and More has it's Buy one, get one for a nickel sale. Wine makes a great host(ess) gift.
I like to stock up on items that are free after coupons- they make great filler items in gift baskets, Secret Santa gifts, or a small gift when a friend needs cheering up.
That's it for now! Happy shopping and Saving!
