trials and errors

Here are a few coupon deals that I've found online that DO NOT WORK in the San Diego, CA area:

The Knorr .45 off Q doubled at Vons for a free Knorr side dish. I was told by two store mgrs that they will not honor a spanish language coupon.

The Target $1.00 off 5 Smart Ones coupon paired with the Target Q's for $1.00 off 1.  Targets in SD do not honor Super Target Q's.  (the $1/1 coupons from the target website say "SUPER TARGET" on them).

I am increasingly annoyed by Vons and Targets coupon policies.  They seem to be arbitrary and up to whomever is in the store  at the time.  I may switch to Ralph's, as they also double coupons  in the same fashion Vons does.  It's a few miles farther from home, but if I can save some money, I am up for it!

  1. Pardon my language, but WTF? They won't honor a Spanish language coupon? WTF?!!?

  2. Yeah. What if I didn't speak english?
Their reasoning is that not all cashiers speak or read spanish and the coupon can be fraudulant and they'd have no way of knowing.

  3. I think a lot of it depends on specific stores no matter which chain you shop. When I lived in UTC the Ralphs was WAY better than the Vons, but here in Mira Mesa the Vons actually seems less retarded than the Ralphs.
The only thing that sucked about the UTC Ralphs is that they refused to take online printed coupons!
And yes, Target is also killing me just a little bit, half the time it seems they don't actually carry what is advertised in the Sunday flier. Sometimes I will be there bright and early when the doors open Sunday and the item is still not in stock, so it is not that they ran out, they never had it in the first place, UGH!
